Anthony Wright LLB, Solicitor and Notary Public
Tony Wright qualified as a solicitor in 1976. He has broad experience in both commercial and residential property, and Wills, trust, probate and inheritance tax planning. He became the High Peak’s only Notary Public in 1989, since when he has offered notarial services to the local commercial and residential community. Having acted for major local builders, he has a broad experience of housing development acquisitions and subsequent retail sales of houses. He is a member of the Law Society’s Probate Section, and advises on inheritance tax planning through Wills as well as trusts and probate work (winding up the affairs of deceased clients).
Tony is a local man with extensive links to the community including several local Societies including The Glossop Heritage Trust. He is very well known and respected in the area and in respect of local property issues, his knowledge is second to none. Tony now works in a consultancy role.
Paul Bunting, GDL, Solicitor
Paul Bunting was appointed a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1999 specialising in divorce and its associated problems – children and property settlements. Paul has previously been recognised as an Accredited Family Law Specialist and is a member of ‘Resolution’, the leading organisation for Family Lawyers. Paul joined Aspinall Wright in 2000. However, Paul’s background is also in general litigation, especially in civil claims and employment issues. His general experience is of benefit to both our private and business clients. Paul qualified as a Solicitor in Autumn 2008 and is a Director in the firm with responsibility for all litigation.
Paul is also a local man married with 2 children, and when not practising Law has a keen interest in football and crown green bowling.
Louise Cassell, LLB, LPC, Solicitor
Louise is a Solicitor and joined the firm in May 2020. Louise studied Law LLB (Hons) gaining a 2:1 in 2010. She then completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the BPP in Manchester in 2011.
Louise has been working within Conveyancing for approximately seven years and deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing sales, purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity and equity release, shared ownership and new builds. Louise previously worked at a large firm for approximately three years in Commercial and Property Litigation before moving into Conveyancing. Louise became a Director and the Head of Conveyancing in November 2021.
Louise has lived in Glossop all of her life and in her spare time enjoys baking, socialising with friends locally and spending time with her family.
Sophie Thomas (Formerly Mettrick)
Sophie is a respected member of our Residential Conveyancing team, she is a qualified Paralegal and a senior conveyancer with experience in all aspects of conveyancing, able to provide a quick and efficient service for you.
Jordanne Crossland LLB, Trainee Solicitor
Jordanne is our Trainee Solicitor already with many years experience as a paralegal, who currently assists the whole of the Conveyancing Department to progress matters in a highly efficient manner.
Katie Hunter
Katie is another member of our Residential Conveyancing Team. Katie has progressed to being a qualified Paralegal with experience in all aspects of conveyancing. Katie will be able to provide a quick and efficient service for you.
Qasim Ullah LLB, Trainee Solicitor
Qasim is our Trainee Solicitor who already has many years experience as a paralegal working in the Probate department of a national organisation and can assist you with all your needs in connection with a Will, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.
Sara Routley
Sara has many years experience in Private Client and Conveyancing work. However, Sara is now a qualified Paralegal in Private Client, Wills and Probate and is able to take instructions and deal with all your needs in such matters.
